After discussion regarding the street tree planting for the Doylestown Cemetery, the Commission agreed to plant clustered
Red Maple trees in the fall along the E. Court Street side of Doylestown Cemetery. And in the spring,
they will plant clustered Dogwoods and White Oaks. Burger stated there will be an opportunity to plant about
15 to 17 trees along that side. Burger also stated that the Commission should come up with a plan on where the
different species will be planted and to come up with a layout plan by the October meeting. Moving forward, Burger
stated to the Commission to start looking into the tree planting they would like done in Maplewood and Old Orchard.
To possibly utilize the neighborhood social media platform to get suggestions from residents of what they would like
to see planted in their neighborhood.
CHAIRPERSON REPORT: None.
ARBORIST REPORT: McMullin stated that he currently is treating different trees for the following diseases:
Bacterial Leaf Scorch, Tabacia, and Oakwood Canker.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM.
