Borough of Doylestown Zoning & Planning Committee Meeting Minutes Meeting Date: Monday, February 12, 2024 Scheduled Time: 7:00 PM, Borough Council Chambers Members present were Jennifer Jarret, Amy Popkin, and Dennis Livrone as well as Karyn Hyland, Director of Zoning, Council Member, Jack O’Brien, and Borough Planning Commission Chair, James Lannon. Call to Order The meeting of the Zoning & Planning Committee was held on Monday, February 12, 2024, and was called to order by Ms. Jarret at 7:00 PM. Review and Approval of Minutes Minutes from the January 8, 2023, meeting were approved as submitted. (Popkin/Livrone) Zoning Hearing Board: None HARB Recommendations Sign Applications  50 N. Main Street, Eric Landolfi, Applicant Building Applications  159 Washington Street, Sean Van Bastelaar, Property Owner - Roof  110 S. Franklin Street, Dexter Chen, Property Owner – Windows Ms. Hyland reviewed the applications recommended for approval by the HARB. The Committee voted unanimously to forward these to the Borough Council for approval. (Livrone/Popkin) Subdivision and Land Development: None Ordinances, Amendments & Resolutions  Consideration of Ordinance 2024-1 - Regulating New Driveway Access on Borough Streets (Livrone/Popkin)  Consideration of Resolution 2024-2 - Updating the Fee Schedule Ms. Jarret raised her concern about losing public parking spaces along the roads when new driveways are installed. Ms. Hyland stated this is a planning discussion unrelated to the fee schedule. (Popkin/Livrone).  Consideration of Resolution 2024-3 – Setting the 2024 Schedule of Downtown Street Events that May Require Temporary Platform Removal (Livrone/Popkin) New/Old Business:  Comprehensive Plan Update – Mr. Lannon summarized discussions from the most recent Planning Commission meeting and what he expects at the upcoming meeting.
