Borough of Doylestown Zoning & Planning Committee Meeting Minutes Meeting Date: Monday, July 8, 2024 Scheduled Time: 7:00 PM, Borough Council Chambers Members present were Jennifer Jarret and Dennis Livrone, Karyn Hyland, Director of Building and Zoning, and Borough Planning Commission Chair James Lannon. Call to Order The meeting of the Zoning & Planning Committee was held on Monday, July 8, 2024 and was called to order by Ms. Jarret at 7:00 PM. Review and Approval of Minutes Members present voted to approve the June minutes. Zoning Hearing Board • ZHB #2024-09: 137 Lafayette St, David Danyluk, Property Owner • ZHB #2024-10: 18 Church Street, Brian & Erin Guerriero Living Trust, Owner • ZHB #2024-11: 86 N. Clinton Street, John and Sharlene Munoz, Property Owner • ZHB #2024-12: 235 Washington Street, Ruth Kozma, Property Owner • ZHB #2024-13: 102 Decatur St. & 80 Hohlbain Alley, Lisa Meehan and Grey Warner, Property Owners Ms. Hyland reviewed the scope of the applications with the Committee. The Committee did not recommend that the Borough Solicitor represent the applicants. HARB Recommendations Sign Applications • 2 E. Court Street, Arthur Mirzakan, Applicant • 29 S. Main Street, Ahmed Shaat, Applicant Building Applications • 100 S. Main Street, Michael Raphael, Architect – Windows • 291 W. Court Street, Richard Brown, Architect – Roof • 299 Maple Avenue, Richard Brown, Architect – Windows • 192 E. State Street, Richard Brown, Architect – Dormer • 85 W. Ashland Street, Maggie McDevitt, Applicant – Windows • 6-12 W. State Street, Francisco Alarcon, Applicant, - Windows • 67 N. Church Street, Home Genius Exteriors, Applicant – Exterior Renovation Ms. Hyland reviewed the applications, which the HARB recommended for approval with conditions noted in the meeting packet. Members present voted unanimously to forward these to the Borough Council for approval. Subdivision and Land Development: None Ordinances, Amendments & Resolutions • Consideration of Ordinance Amending Zoning Regulations Regarding Conversions and Non-Conforming Uses Ms. Hyland reviewed the Ordinance with the Committee, and members present voted unanimously to forward it to the Council. New/Old Business: Comprehensive Plan Update: Mr. Lannon summarized discussions from the most recent Planning Commission meeting and what he expects at the next meeting.
