Emergency Management Commission Special Meeting Minutes January 4, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. A Special Meeting of the Emergency Management Commission was held Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room located 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas. I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Commission Members Present were: Bonnie Humphrey, Chair Curt Marek, Vice Chair Kay Allen Shannon Burke Scott Collard Gordon DeWitte Mike Jones Robert Lamb Bill Little Vacant Commission Members Absent were: Ron Hood James Russell Paxton With a quorum of the Emergency Management Commission present, Chair Bonnie Humphrey called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. II. BUSINESS Discussion and possible action to be taken on: A. A Resolution authorizing the submittal of a Grant Application to Office of Governor for grant funds to purchase an electric generator for the Emergency Management Program; and authorizing the City Administrator to execute documents in relation to the application 1. Staff Report - Kay Allen Kay Allen presented the staff report which is on file and available for inspection upon request. The grant the City is seeking is given by Homeland Security through the Office of the Governor through Capital Area Council of Governments. The grant requires no matching funds and no upper limit. Staff recommends approval of the resolution for recommendation to the City Council. Emergency Management Commission January 4, 2018 Special Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 2  2. Draft Resolution A motion was made by Commissioner Little to approve the resolution for recommendation to City Council with the following changes: 1) In caption, insert “and above ground fuel tanks – 1 2,000 gallon diesel fuel tank, and 1 500 gallon regular fuel tank, after electric generator, and 2) Insert same language after electric generator in the first WHEREAS. Commission Jones seconded the motion, which carried unanimously 8 to 0. III.
