Bi-Monthly Meeting
January 08, 2018
Attending: Brenda Medcalf, EvanTaddia, Michael Monaghan, Stephanie Holtzendorf, Sharon Goss, Bonnie
Gonzalez, Jake Adams, Brad Thomas, Chris Nuccio, Paul Sanchez, Mariana Espinoza.
Absent: Chris Schmidt, Brian Daniel.
I. Call to Order: 6:40 pm by Brenda Medcalf
II. Business:
A. Approval of Sponsorship Levels for 2018 Founder’s Day Celebration.
• Levels the same as last year.
• Sponsorship letter going out will also have Jake’s name and phone number.
• No Home Depot stage this year. Will rope off an area for VIP space.
• Sponsorship letter will be sent out as soon as we have the log for this year.
• Jake made a motion to increase the platinum level to $5,000 and the Gold level to $2,500.
Mike seconded. Motion passed.
B. 2018 Founders Day Festival Parade Theme
• After discussion on what could be this year’s parade theme, Paul made a motion to use
‘Celebrate Drippin’ as this year’s parade theme. Brad seconded. Motion passed.
C. Approval of Minutes from Regular Meeting of November 13, 2017.
• Minutes from November 13 meeting were read. Evan made a motion to accept the
minutes. Chris seconded. Minutes approved as read.
III. Standing Committee Reports
A. Site Plan:
• No report.
B. Food:
• All spaces are full.
C. Entertainment:
• Stage will be the same.
• Have some acts lined up already.
D. Arts & Crafts:
• Rules/application are ready to go on the website.
• No alcohol sales.
• No animal sales.

• Theme this year – ‘Celebrate Drippin’
F. Publicity
• Bonnie Gonzalez will be in charge of publicity and not Stephanie.
G. Sponsorship/Underwriting
• Sponsorship levels discussed and a motion was made to change two of the
levels. (See item A under Business).
• Jake is working on the packets to be sent out to potential sponsors.
H. Sanitation
• No report.
I. Security :
• Once roads are blocked with trucks/trailers/dumpsters those streets will not be
open for enter/exit until after shut down on Sunday.
• Entry/Exit will be minimized.
J. Traffic/Parking:
• Gary Job Corps will be coming back.
K. Volunteers:
• No report.
V. Announcements
Next meeting will be 01/22/2018 at 6:30 at City Hall.
