Commissioner Monaghan seconded the motion which carried unanimously 8 to 0. MINUTES 1. Discuss and consider approval of the August 10, 2020 Founders Day Commission regular meeting minutes. A motion was made by Commissioner Debish to approve the August 10, 2020 Founders Day Commission Regular Meeting Minutes. Commissioner Garza seconded the motion which carried unanimously 8 to 0. BUSINESS 2. Discuss and consider recommendation regarding the Appointment of one (1) individual to the Founders Day Commission for a term ending June 30, 2022. A committee of Commissioners Medcalf, Adams, Debish, Garza and Monaghan will interview the three applicants. STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS 3. Site Plan Committee – No updates Michael Monaghan and Brenda Medcalf 4. Entertainment Committee – No updates Brad Thomas and Brian Daniel 5. Carnival & Food Committee Sharon Goss and Susan Warwick Carnival and food vendors are ‘a go’. 6. Arts & Crafts Committee Michael Monaghan Information goes out December/January. 7. Parade Committee – No updates Brenda Medcalf and Clint Holtzendorf 8. Publicity Committee – No updates Brenda Medcalf, Jake Adams, Clint Holtzendorf, Brian Daniel, Maggie Martin and Lisa Sullivan 9. Sponsorship & Underwriting Committee Jake Adams, Darrell Debish, Brian Daniel, Dee Marsh and Maggie Martin Work on sponsorships continues. 11. Security Committee Brenda Medcalf and Darrell Debish Viking and Gary Job Corps have been contacted. 12. Volunteer Committee – No updates Maggie Martin 13. Traffic & Parking Committee Brenda Medcalf and Darrell Debish No plan for shuttle. Rotary will be contacted to see if they are still interested. UPCOMING MEETINGS Founders Day Commission Meetings October 19, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. November 9, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. December 14, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. City Council & Board of Adjustment Meetings September 15, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. October 13, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. (Workshop 6:00 / Regular Meeting 6:30) October 20, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. A motion was made by Commissioner Garza to cancel the October 19, 2020 Founders Day Commission Regular Meeting. Commissioner Monaghan seconded the motion which carried unanimously 8 to 0. ADJOURN A motion was made by Commissioner Monaghan to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Marsh seconded the motion which carried unanimously 8 to 0. This regular meeting adjourned at 6:59 pm.
