Title: RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL PRIMARY ELECTION HELD AUGUST 8, 2023. Body: CITY PROPOSAL: WHEREAS, the Duluth City Council finds as follows: (a) On August 8 2023, there was held in the city of Duluth, pursuant to the provisions of Laws of Minnesota, 1973, Chapter 281, a municipal primary election for the purpose of electing certain city officers; and (b) The judges of the election districts in the city have made their returns of said election and the city council, acting as the canvassing board, has duly canvassed said returns at 5:00 p.m., August 10, 2023, and ascertained the number of ballots cast at said election and thereby declared that at said election there were 13,121 cast votes, said votes having been cast in the following manner: Mayor Roger Reinert 8,223 Emily Larson 4,560 Robert David Shieve 65 Jesse Peterson 71 Julie A.
