Also Present: Sherry L. DeVries, Durham Arts Council; Drew Cummings, Office of the County Manager. The meeting was called to order by Chair Chris Ogden at 8:35 a.m. Given the absence of a OEWD liason, Ogden asked for a volunteer to take minutes. Margaret DeMott volunteered. Ogden mentioned that while Gail Williams took minutes of the previous meeting, she has not yet submitted them to the Committee. Ogden announced the resignation of Pamela Taylor, who moved to Boston for a new job. That leaves two vacancies on the Committee. Discussion was deferred until later in the meeting about what skills the PAC needs that could be met by the replacements. OEWD City Liaison Hiring Update: Ogden reported that he had called OWED for an update but could not get in touch with Grace nor Kevin. Dan Ellison reported that he had called and got in touch with the new hire, Brian Smith, but had not been able to obtain any bio/resume information nor clarity on what portion of his job will support CAB/PAC. We hope to receive clarity before the January CAB/PAC meetings. Given the increasing urgency of having project support from the City, discussion ensued about the timing of asking for guidance from our City Council liason, Cora Cole-McFadden. Ellison said he would follow up with her.
