MEETING Start time: ___________________ • Pledge to the flag. • An attendance roll call will now be taken by the Manager. • With a quorum present, the meeting will continue. • Council met in executive session this evening to discuss personnel matters of the Street and Police Departments. • Please be advised that this public meeting was advertised in the Times Leader in the legal section. A copy of the legal ad is attached. • All minutes, correspondence, bills, and reports are available for inspection. • Discussion regarding permits for food vendors according to Ordinance 2019-1. • Discussion regarding the sidewalk project on Stephenson Street (near RR)….incomplete. • Discussion regarding the model storm water ordinance, to change the existing ordinance. • Discussion regarding the Food and Fun Program to run at Community Park. MOTION: • To accept the minutes as posted. • That all correspondence be accepted, action be taken where necessary and placed on file. • That all bills, wages, salaries, and commissions be paid when funds are available. • To approve payment of bills that were paid after the previous meeting, but before approval of bills for the current meeting. • That all reports be accepted, action be taken where necessary and placed on file. • To accept the resignation of Officer Tamburello from the Duryea Police Department. 1  • To hire ____________________________ as a full-time police officer, provided he/she successfully pass the full background check process and all other Borough and M.P.O.E.T.C requirements for newly hired police officers. Officer will be subject to the probationary period as per the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. • To appoint the following part-time police officers for the month of May 2022, as necessary for the general welfare, health, and safety of the public: o Officers- Malvizzi Giles Wall • To accept a verbal resignation from Robert Walling from the Duryea Street Department as of March 11, 2022. • To hire __________________ as a part-time laborer for the Duryea Street Department with a starting rate of $15.50/hour. • To hire __________________ as a part-time laborer for the Duryea Street Department with a starting rate of $15.50/hour. • To pass Resolution 2022-6 regarding the closing of the Parks and Recreation account at People’s Security Bank. • To place a handicap placard at 742 Donnelly Street. • To pass Resolution 2022-7 which will replace Resolution 2022-3, changing the requested amount from $24,000 to $25,200. • To enter into an agreement for the Food and Fun at the Park Summer Program with the Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA. • To appoint ______________________ to the Duryea Borough Sewer Authority to replace the term of Frank Brosso, to expire 12/31/2023. • To accept the bid for the 2013 Dodge Charger on Municibid in the amount of $___________. • **To amend the agenda by adding a motion to purchase Police Department firearms, consistent with the quote provided by the Police Department, in the amount of $3,328.16.
