Old Business • Green slide at Community Park • Comcast Agreement New Business Meeting Motion: • stating that there is no fair market value to the old green slide removed from Community Park. • to amend the agenda by adding a motion to sell the old green slide from Community Park with an offer from Mark Margavage. • to sell the old green slide from Community Park with an offer from Mark Margavage. • to accept the minutes as posted. • that all correspondence be accepted, action be taken where necessary and placed on file. 1 • that all bills, wages, salaries, and commissions be paid when funds are available. • to approve payment of bills that were paid after the last meeting, but before approval of bills for this meeting. • that all reports be accepted, action be taken where necessary and placed on file. • to appoint the following part-time police officers for the month of October 2025, as necessary for the general welfare, health, and safety of the public: Giles – Wall • to approve the O&M agreement with P.T. Wildcats. • to accept the verbal resignation of employee #93 from the Street Department as of August 15, 2025. • to advertise for snowplow bids, with current specs in place. • to adopt Ordinance 2025-1 to form a Rental Registration and Inspection Ordinance. • to authorize the Borough Manager’s attendance at the annual PSAB Fall Leadership Conference, October 3-5, at State College, PA. • to approve Resolution 2025-8 to adopt the Luzerne County 2025 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update as the official Hazard Mitigation Plan of the Borough of Duryea. • to approve Resolution 2025-9 Comcast Agreement executing a Cable Franchise Agreement Between the Borough of Duryea and Comcast of Colorado/Pennsylvania/West Virginia, LLC. • to accept the written resignation of Robert Webb from the North East Pennsylvania Land Bank Authority as of August 14, 2025. • to appoint ____________________ to the North East Pennsylvania Land Bank Authority as the representative for Duryea Borough as of this date. • to approve the letter of acceptance from Trust for Public Land (TPL) for Duryea Borough to accept ownership of Campbell’s Ledge, once purchased by TPL. • to approve the donation letter to Trust for Public Land as a donation for the Campbell’s Ledge property to be purchased by TPL later this year. • to hire _____________ (Joseph Berti/Chris Klein) as a part-time Street Department Laborer at the rate of $20 per hour to start, as per the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. • to approve Resolution 2025-10 to apply for a Local Share Account Grant for Excelsior Hose Company Addition Phase III in the amount of $498,226.26. • to approve Resolution 2025-11 to apply for a Local Share Account Grant for the Main Street Parking Lot and Borough Building Roof Replacement Project. • to approve Resolution 2025-12 to apply for a Local Share Account Grant for the Marcy Street Building Update. • to authorize the proper officers of Duryea Borough Council to execute and deliver a Memorandum of Understanding between Duryea Borough and the Police Association 2  to modify Article 9 of the collective bargaining agreement covering the period of January 1, 2024, through December 31,2028.
