CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES August 8, 2013 – 6:00 p.m. Duvall Fire Station – 15600 – 1st Avenue NE Mayor Pro Tem Walker called the meeting order at 6:05 p.m. Council present: Gérard Cattin, Amy Ockerlander, Leroy Collinwood, Becky Nixon, Scott Thomas, Gary Gill, Jason Walker Staff present: Deputy City Clerk Jodi Lee Wycoff, Finance Director Jill Long, Planning Manager Lara Thomas, Public Works Director Steve Leniszewski, Police Commander Carey Hert, Police Chief Glenn Merryman 2013 Midyear Financial Report – Jill Long Jill Long, Finance Director, reviewed the Second Quarter Financial Report. She said that the City is right on track for revenues and expenditures for mid-way through the year. She reviewed the various revenues including taxes, building permits, and impact fees. She also handed out a detailed sales tax report and revenue versus expenses report and reviewed them with Council. Economic Development as it relates to the Comp. Plan – Lara Thomas Lara Thomas, Planning Manager, handed out and reviewed a draft PowerPoint presentation that Greg Easton, the City’s Economic Development consultant, put together for next week’s special meeting. She asked Council to go over the presentation and the documents that were in the packet and come to the meeting prepared to ask questions. She asked Council what other information they would like to see in the presentation at the special meeting. City Council Meeting Council Absence Policies – Mayor Ibershof & Admin Due to time constraints this item is being moved to the next COW meeting on August 22, 2013.
