CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES September 15, 2015 – 5:00 p.m. Riverview Educational Service Center – 15510 – 1st Ave NE Mayor Pro Tem Brudnicki called the meeting order at 5:03 p.m. Council present: Jason Walker, Leroy Collinwood, Amy Ockerlander, Gary Gill, Scott Thomas, Dianne Brudnicki, Becky Nixon Staff present: Matthew Morton, Dean Rohla, Steve Leniszewski, Lara Thomas, Jodi Wycoff, Chief Carey Hert, Sergeant Lori Batiot, Fire Chief David Burke, Melanie Young, Sara Ruhland a. Open Public Meetings Act / Public Records Act Training Bruce Reim from Clear Risk Solutions gave a presentation and training on the Open Public Meetings Act and the Public Records Act. The training is a State requirement (Open Government Trainings Act) that persons filling certain state and local government offices and positions complete training regarding the two Acts. Mr. Reim answered questions from Council and staff regarding various aspects of the training. b. Good of the Order Councilmember Nixon asked if there is a Government Facilities Committee meeting scheduled with the Duvall Visitor Center stakeholders coming up. Councilmember Thomas said he is waiting to hear back from them to confirm the date and will notify the Committee once the date is set. Steve Leniszewski, Public Works Director, gave an update on the Coe Clemons Creek / SR203 project. The curb and gutter work is scheduled to start tonight and the sidewalks should start later this week. Final paving is scheduled to begin early next week if weather permits. Mr. Leniszewski said they have been in contact with Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) regarding the transition between the project section and main section of the road which has a fairly significant dip in it right now.
