CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES July 18, 2017 – 5:15 p.m. Riverview Educational Service Center – 15510 – 1st Ave NE There was a brief reception prior to the beginning of the meeting. Mayor Pro Tem Amy Ockerlander called the meeting to order at 5:25 p.m. Council present: Jason Walker, Dianne Brudnicki, Becky Nixon, Scott Thomas, Michelle Hogg, Amy Ockerlander, Matthew Eyer Staff present: Matthew Morton, Boyd Benson, Lara Thomas, Lindsey Vaughn, Shaun Tozer, Larissa Grundell, Alana McCoy, Joe Chriest, Mike Marty a. Good of the Order Councilmember Nixon said that Duvall should consider putting on weekend concerts similar to a concert held at Tolt McDonald Park in Carnation this past weekend. Joe Chriest, Public Works Supervisor, thanked Council for approving the pay scale increase and said that the increase has already improved recruiting results. b. Public Works Tour Boyd Benson, Public Works Director, gave a presentation on the city’s water system. Council then went on a walking tour of the Thayer Creek Culvert replacement project, which is part of the Main Street South Renovation Project, as well as a tour of the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
