CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES June 5, 2018 – 5:30 p.m. Riverview Educational Service Center – 15510 – 1st Ave NE Mayor Pro Tem Eyer called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. Council present: Matthew Eyer, Amy McHenry, Michelle Hogg, Jennifer Knaplund, Jason Walker, Dianne Brudnicki, Mike Remington Staff present: Matthew Morton, Lara Thomas, Lindsey Vaughn, Jodi Wycoff, Larissa Grundell I. Good of the Order Jodi Wycoff, City Clerk, briefed Council on two contracts related to recycling grants and services that will be on the next Council agenda for action. Councilmember McHenry asked Council if they would be interested in having a table at the Farmers Market to answer questions from citizens. Mayor Pro Tem Eyer said that he will have an update regarding the School Impact Fee Ad-hoc Committee likely at the next meeting. II. Items 1. Foundations of Growth Management Planning: King County Planning Policies and Process Karen Wolf, King County Senior Policy Analyst, gave a presentation regarding King County policies and processes, including multi-county policies related to growth and Vision 2040. Ms. Wolf said that the County has begun work on Vision 2050 using information gathered from local cities’ 2015 Comprehensive Plans. Ms. Wolf then answered questions from Council. 2. Foundations of Growth Management Planning: METRO Transit Planning, Forecasting in METRO CONNECTS and METRO CONNECTS Implementation Plan Graydon Newman, King County Transportation Planner III, gave a presentation regarding METRO CONNECTS, a long-range vision plan related to transit in the region. Mr. Newman reviewed the vision for 2025 and 2040 and the process Metro went through to develop the vision plan. Mr. Newman then answered questions from Council. III.
