CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES August 7, 2018 – 5:30 p.m. Riverview Educational Service Center – 15510 – 1st Ave NE Mayor Pro Tem Eyer called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Council present: Matthew Eyer, Amy McHenry, Michelle Hogg, Jennifer Knaplund, Jason Walker, Mike Remington, Dianne Brudnicki Staff present: Lara Thomas, Lindsey Vaughn, Jodi Wycoff I. Good of the Order Councilmember Knaplund and Mayor Pro Tem Eyer announced that they will not be at the next meeting. Jodi Wycoff, City Clerk, said that the next Committee of the Whole meeting will be a Joint Workshop with Planning Commission. The meeting will start early at 5:00 p.m. and will be at the Duvall Visitor Center. Mayor Pro Tem Eyer reviewed the Legislative budget worksheets that are being developed for 2019/2020 and asked Council to get any proposed changes to the City Clerk by Friday. II. Items 1. 2019/2020 Budget Lindsey Vaughn, Finance Director, handed out and reviewed the budget calendar. Council discussed options for a City Council Budget Priority discussion and the calendar for department presentations. 2. WRECK Center Update Lara Thomas, Deputy City Administrator, gave a presentation briefly outlining the history of the WRECK Center lease and surplus decisions to date. Ms. Thomas also discussed staff recommendations for the surplus and sale of the building as well as market trends that show this may be a good time to sell the building. Lastly, Ms. Thomas reviewed policy questions and alternatives for Council to consider. III.
