CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES July 16, 2019 – 5:30 p.m. Riverview Educational Service Center 15510 – 1st Ave NE Mayor Pro Tem Remington called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. Council present: Michelle Hogg, Mike Remington, Amy McHenry, Jennifer Knaplund, Matthew Eyer, Dorothy Lengyel, Dianne Brudnicki Staff present: Lara Thomas, Carey Hert, Jodi Wycoff, Diana Hart, City Attorney Rachel Turpin I. Good of the Order Jodi Wycoff, City Clerk, said that she advertised for the Pro and Con Committees for the TBD sales tax ballot measure. Ms. Wycoff also verified which Councilmembers will be at the August 20th meetings. Mayor Pro Tem Remington said that due to former Councilmember Walker’s resignation, there is now a need for an alternate on the Watershed Forum and asked if anyone is interested. Councilmember Eyer volunteered as alternate. Councilmember Hogg asked for a discussion on the next Committee of the Whole agenda about possibly approving a resolution related to Affordable Housing and HB1406 II. Items 1. City Administrator Options Mayor Ockerlander and City Attorney, Rachel Turpin, led a discussion regarding options for filling the vacant City Administrator position. Council requested information regarding the status of the current budget to help guide them in their decision. Council also requested the opportunity to review the job description. 2. Council Standing Committees Mayor Pro Tem Remington recommended that this discussion be moved to a meeting in August or September. III.
