CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES September 17, 2019 – 5:00 p.m. Riverview Educational Service Center 15510 – 1st Ave NE Mayor Pro Tem Remington called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Council present: Michelle Hogg, Mike Remington, Amy McHenry, Jennifer Knaplund, Dorothy Lengyel (absent: Dianne Brudnicki, Matthew Eyer) Staff present: Lara Thomas, Steve Leniszewski, Jodi Wycoff, Carey Hert I. Good of the Order Mayor Pro Tem Remington asked that items for good of the order be held until the end of the meeting or moved to the regular Council meeting under Council Reports in order to give enough time for tonight’s training/presentation. II. Items: 1. Elected Officials-Council Training-Roles and Responsibilities Scott Snyder, Ogden Murphy Wallace, PLLC, led a training titled “Respecting the Roles of Policy Makers and Administrators”. The training covered laws that govern local governments in general as well as the various roles and responsibilities held by Councilmembers and Mayors. Mr. Snyder answered questions from Council throughout the training. III. Adjournment The Committee of the Whole adjourned at 6:57 p.m. Written Reports – There were no written reports distributed in the Committee of the Whole packet.
