CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES July 7, 2020 – 5:30 p.m. Virtual Only Meeting via Zoom Due to public health emergency, this meeting was held remotely. All Councilmembers and staff attended via Zoom meeting. Mayor Pro Tem Remington called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m. Council present: Amy McHenry, Dorothy Lengyel, Michelle Hogg, Mike Remington, Jennifer Knaplund, Dianne Brudnicki, Matthew Eyer Staff present: Shaun Tozer, Dana Mason, Jodi Wycoff I. Good of the Order Councilmember Knaplund discussed webinars she attended during the Association of the Washington Cities (AWC) Annual virtual Conference and asked for a discussion regarding CARES Act funding. Mayor Pro Tem Remington reminded everyone of the executive session tonight and the special meeting on July 14th at 5:00 p.m. for department updates. II. Items: 1. Council Retreat Recap Mayor Pro Tem Remington reviewed a summary of the discussion at the June 30th Council retreat that focused on City Council priorities for the 2021-2022 biennial budget. A summary of the discussion will be incorporated into the minutes for the retreat. 2. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency Update Shaun Tozer, Interim Director of Emergency Management, gave a presentation to review the current COVID-19 public health emergency, including information the City is tracking related to the emergency, possible funding that may be available from local, state and federal governments and updated amounts the City has spent related to the emergency.
