CITY OF DUVALL CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES July 6, 2021 – 5:30 p.m. Virtual Only Meeting via Zoom Due to public health emergency, this meeting was held remotely. All Councilmembers and staff attended via Zoom webinar. Mayor Pro Tem Remington called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. Council present: Amy McHenry, Dorothy Lengyel, Michelle Hogg, Mike Remington, Jennifer Knaplund, Rick Shaffer, Dianne Brudnicki Staff present: Ryan Cotton, Lara Thomas, Steve Leniszewski, Michael DeBock, Jodi Wycoff I. Items: 1. Legislative Updates Representative Senator Manka Dhingra, Roger Goodman, and Representative Larry Springer, each gave a report to summarize the 2021 Legislative Session including specific budget allocations and answered questions from Council. 2. King County Council Update King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert gave an update on County business including, but not limited to, discussions about forest management related to wildland fires, County budgets, affordable housing, wastewater treatment, hiring a new County Sherriff, and the recent vote to ban fireworks in unincorporated King County. 3. City Administrator Job Description Update Ryan Cotton, Interim City Administrator, reviewed the draft job description and explained that the job description will be in line with code amendments related to the City Administrator which will be discussed during the regular meeting. 4. Complete Streets Grant Update This item was discussed during the regular Council meeting. 5. American Rescue Plan Act Expenditure Funds Management This item was discussed during the regular Council meeting. II. Good of the Order There were no items for good of the order.
