(ILA) IFIT-KC: Independent Firearms Investigation Team of King County a) Approved by consent at City Council on 02/16/2021 b) Community Member Recruitment Process 2. Police Officer Recruitment Update a) 1 of 2 Lateral Candidates was terminated during pre-employment background b) Entry-Level Candidate was chosen to replace the disqualified lateral candidate c) Entry-Level Candidate was also disqualified in background on 02-16-2021 d) New Lateral Recruitment Campaign for 45-60 days e) Oral Boards will be scheduled once recruitment ends (PSC member to sit on panel?) f) Discussion on Pre-Hiring has been put on hold until the above process is complete 3. Police Chief Transition Update a) Mayor working with Lt. DeBock, finance and City Attorney on employment contract b) Lt’s and Chief continue to complete pre-transition work c) Chief Hert to begin vacation the week of April 1, 2021 (DeBock to Acting Chief) d) Chief Hert officially done June 30, 2021 (DeBock promoted) 4. City of Duvall Emergency Manager a) Tozer stepped down from this role b) Lt. Sabourin temporarily assigned to assist, focusing on Pandemic updates c) Lt.
