City of Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen Tuesday, February 22, 2022 1. Call to Order: The Board of Mayor and Aldermen met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Dyersburg Municipal Court Room. Mayor John Holden called the meeting to order. All members were present with the exception of Alderwoman Meghan Gilbert. The meeting opened with a prayer by Alderman James Baltimore. 2. Approval of minutes: Mayor John Holden called for a motion to approve the minutes from the February 7, 2022 meeting. Alderman Willie Cole made the motion to approve the minutes and Alderman James Baltimore seconded the motion. All were in favor and the minutes were approved. 3. Unfinished Business: None 4. New Business: A. Bids - Greg Williams None B. Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes - February 7, 2022 - Chairman Ricky Hammond Alderman and Recreation Committee Chair Ricky Hammond reviewed the committee meeting minutes. According to Hammond, the committee heard updates on the status of sports schedules that are currently ongoing and for the spring along with the status of budgeted projects. The committee stressed the need for each center to begin preparations for the upcoming budget year. No action was taken by the committee. 5. Report from Aldermen and Alderwomen: James Baltimore: No report Edward Burks: No report Willie Cole: Alderman Cole said he had received several phone calls pertaining to vacant properties within his Ward. He asked what the City could do. Mayor John Holden said if the City could get the addresses and if the properties create a safety issue the City could address it. He added there are a number of properties the City is currently addressing. Meghan Gilbert: Not present Ricky Hammond: Alderman Ricky Hammond said the Recreation Committee will meet again, however, a date has yet to be set.
