0, City of Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen Monday, December 6, 2021 I. Call to Order: The Board of Mayor and Aldermen convened for their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Dyersburg Municipal Court Room. Alderman Dennis Moody called the meeting to order. All Members were present with the exception of Mayor John Holden. The meeting opened with a prayer by Alderman Dennis Moody. 2. Approval of Minutes: Alderman Dennis Moody called for a motion to approve the minutes from the November 15, 202 I meeting. Alderman Willie Cole made a motion to approve the minutes and Alderman James Baltimore seconded the motion and the minutes were approved. All were in favor. 3. Unfinished Business: None 4. New Business: A. Local Government Committee meeting minutes - November 29, 2021 - Chairwoman Mary Claire Hopper Chairwoman Mary Claire Hopper read the minutes from the November 29, 2021 Local Government Committee meeting. B. Resolution 12062021-Acceptance of initial distribution of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds The ARPA funds were initially discussed at the meeting with Mayor Holden stating the City received half of their funding $2,420,29 I .71 two weeks prior with the second halfto be received between March and October 2022. City Recorder Scott Ball, in the committee meeting, noted the funding could only be used for ce1tain items such as infrastructure, premium pay, and premium quality-of-life projects. Upon the conclusion of the reading of the minutes, Alderman James Baltimore motioned to approve the resolution, which noted the City has established a separate account for the funds for the receipt and expenditure in the amount of$4,840,583.42. The motion was seconded by Alderman Ricky Hammond and passed unanimously. C. Bids - Greg Williams There were no bids to discuss.
