Voting Aye: Quirk, Grinde, Rapacz, Riopelle Voting Nay: None It was moved by Commissioner Rapacz supported by Commissioner Grinde to authorize the Secretary to issue payment of the recommended bills and payroll in the amount of $175,013.43. Voting Aye: Quirk, Grinde, Rapacz, Riopelle Voting Nay: None It was moved by Commissioner Rapacz supported by Commissioner Grinde to approve the hiring of Logan Schultz as Water Distribution Maintenance Operator Entry Level at $29.28 per hour with a starting date of June 16, 2025. We are recommending a bid date of July 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM CDT for opening of the bids. After all bids are received, it is our intent to have the tabulation of bid results and our engineering recommendation ready for presentation to the Commission at the August 6, 2025 meeting. A pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested potential bidders on July 8, 2025 at 1:30 PM CDT at the DSC. Recommendation: 1. Approval of 2025 Business Highway 2 Lighting Extension project plans and specifications. 2. Give authorization to go out for bids with a bid date and time of July 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM CDT. 3. Give authorization to publish the Ad for Bids in the City’s official newspaper for the mandatory two week period.

Distribution Maintenance Operator I Position
    Water Distribution Maintenance Operator I Interviews were conducted by Commissioner Mike Quirk, Distribution Superintendent Todd Grabanski, Distribution Foreman Tyler Tretter, Human Resource Generalist Terry Knudson and General Manager Keith Mykleseth on 5-30-2025. Interview panel selected Joshua Farrell for the position.  First day of employment is 6-23-2025. Starting Wage: Water Distribution Maintenance Operator I @ Step 1- $31.66 hour.     
     Recommend the Water and Light Commission approve the hiring of Joshua Farrell for the Water Distribution Maintenance Operator I Position. Start Date:6-23-25 and hourly Wage: $31.66 hour.
