MINUTES Village of East Troy Airport Advisory Committee July 10, 2017 1. Call to order – Meeting called to order at 7:00pm by Ann Zess 2. Roll Call ‐ Present –Ann Zess, Walter Watkins, Airport Manager/FBO, Don Voland, Sam Taber, Mike Starck Absent: Jim Stemper Also Present: Dale Graves, Charlie Christiansen, Matt Rybarczyk, Kim Weckerly 3. Citizen Participation – None 4. June 12, 2017 Minutes approved on a motion by Don Voland and seconded by Sam Taber, motion carried. 5. Old Business: a. Status of 2017 taxiway asphalt project discussion and updates – A walk through occurred with the engineer and Andy Trimble. The material they are using is a softer material, containing more oil to make it last longer. There is an area in the taxi‐lane that has ruts and will be heated and re‐rolled. They say it will harden over time. Payne & Dolan will take care of paint lines to identify taxiways. Walter will ask about future repair kit for fixing any soft asphalt issues. b. Operations at 57C – Counting operations –Tabled due to taxiway work and closure of grass runway during construction. c. Emergency Procedures at 57C – Committee discussion. Hoping to set a meeting for a Thursday in August. d. Runway/Taxiway lighting update – Should be designed and bid in 2018. 6. New Business: a. YTD Rev/Expense report through June – Discussed with no recommendations or questions. b. Crack Sealing – Runway crack sealing to be complete by a subcontractor of Payne & Dolan on Monday July 17 and Tuesday July 18, 2017. c. Hanger Owner Discussion/Honey Bee Box – A motion was made to make a recommendation to the Village that the Honey Bee box for this year only and to move them by the end of the harvest. Motion by Sam Taber, and seconded by Mike Starck – Motion approved unanimously.
