MINUTES VILLAGE OF EAST TROY AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE August 11, 2025 Page 1 of 2 Call Meeting to Order Roll Call: Chairperson Holm called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Jim Holm, Doug Gauger, Sean Plastine (6:05), JD Schreib, Mike Starck, and Kim Weckerly Absent: None Others: Dale Graves, Doug Nielson, and Sam Taber Citizen Participation Per Village Resolution 2017-01, anyone wishing to address the Airport Advisory Committee during Citizen Participation will be allowed 5 minutes. Your subject must specifically relate to matters under the jurisdiction of the Airport Advisory Committee, whether on the agenda or not. The Airport Advisory Committee should not engage in a discussion regarding comments because it was not part of the publicly noticed agenda. Upon conclusion of this Citizen Participation segment, members of the audience are not allowed further comment unless they are participating in a public hearing or if specifically allowed by a majority vote of the Airport Advisory Committee due to involvement in an agenda item. Approval of Minutes  A motion to approve June 9, 2025, meeting minutes was made by Mike Starck and seconded by JD Schreib. The motion passed unanimously. Standing and Old Business 1. Airport Manager’s Report  We sold 3,712 gallons of Avgas in June and 3,712 and 7,487 in July. Sales of Jet A totaled 1,203 in June and 2,158 in July. Fuel sales for July, in conjunc on with the EAA, were down from last year.  The FBO was painted at the end of June and needs some touch-up yet.  All the T-Hangers are rented as of the first of August.  The Village purchased a brush hog with an arm for clearing fence lines. This will be used at the airport this fall.  Mowing has kept us terribly busy with all the rain this year.  We are having a safety class on the fuel farm on Wednesday, August 20th.  The old workshop room in the FBO shop has been removed, and a new bench was installed for Doug Gauger to work on. Doug Neilson now occupies the addi onal space made available to him.  Petroleum Equipment performed the yearly tes ng on the fuel farm tanks. Doug will be changing filters in early September.  Doug Gauger is having surgery on September 16 and will be off for 6 weeks. Derek Gauger will be filling in for Doug in his absence.  The old windsock will be coming down for repairs this week and will go up the same day.  A er crops are harvested, Doug will be hauling in spoil from the treatment plant to fill in the old tree line back by the AWAS.  It was suggested that the area around the pond could be improved to provide a park-like area with picnic tables. Doug will follow up with Jason about the possibility.  Geese are becoming a poten al hazard. What can be done to keep them away from the airport? 2. Airport Layout Plan, Master Plan, and Planning Advisory Committee No Update New Business None Adjourn:  A motion to adjourn was made by Mike Starck and seconded by Kim Weckerly.
