Confirmation of the Meeting Notice Posting, Publication, and compliance with open meeting laws 3. Appointment of Chairperson 4. Approval of May 29, 2019, Meeting Minutes 5. Confirmation that at least one member has received mandatory training during the last 2 years 6. Verify Village Ordinance for confidentiality of income and expense information provided to assessor under state law (sec. 70.47(7)(af) 7. Review of any new laws – maintenance year 8. Adoption of policies a. Policy on Waiver of BOR Hearing Requests b. Policy on Telephone or Written Testimony 9. Receipt of Assessment Roll by Clerk from Assessor and Board receives Assessment Roll and Statements from Clerk (certification – the assessor’s affidavit – assessor signs, the clerk acknowledges and provides to the board) 10. General information from Assessor – Annual Assessment Report 11. Review of Assessment Roll and Performance of Statutory Duties: a. Examine Roll and correct and description or calculation errors b. Add omitted property c. Eliminate Double Assessed Property 12. Discussion/Action – Certify all corrections of error under state law (sec. 70.43 Wis. Stats. 13. Verify with the assessor that open book changes are included in the assessment roll Posted 5/26/2020 14. Allow taxpayers to review assessment data 15. Consideration of: a. Waivers of required 48-hour notice, waiver of BOR hearing, request for testimony by telephone or submitting sworn statement, or other legally allowed/required Board of Review matters 16. Review Notices of Intent to File Objections -provide complete objections to board prior to hearing. If no stated value from the taxpayer do not grant a hearing. The clerk should work with the taxpayer to get the form completed. 17. Approval of Scheduled Appointments 18. Swearing in and hearing of assessment objections, if any and proper notice/waivers given 19. Discussion and Decision on the 2020 assessment roll 20.
