Village of East Troy Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes – January 8, 2018 Present: President Gary Budzien, Trustee John Alexander, Director Vickie Muszynski, Commissioners Jim Holm, Annie Van Buren, Steve Rostkowski, Debbie Arendt Excused: Commissioner Geri Mayotte, Public Works Jason Equitz Call to order – President Budzien called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Approve Park & Recreation Commission minutes from November 13, 2017 - Motion by Trustee Alexander and Second by Commissioner Holm to approve the minutes dated November 13, 2017. Motion carried. Revenue/Expenditure Report – The year-end result were much higher than we have been in the past few years. Motion by Commissioner Rostkowski and Second by Trustee Alexander to approve. Motion carried. Director’s Report – Muszynski indicated that revenue is up $8,700 with possible reasons such as on-line registration and more facebook advertising. At our next meeting, Muszynski will have an outlined report comparing the number of classes in 2017. Archery Range – A meeting is being planned for later in the month to keep everyone on board for the next phases of completion. The Lions Club will be putting together the pavilion. In our next few meetings we need to start to talk about planning a grand opening. Pavilion at Playmore Park – The pavilion is completed except for some landscaping to be finished in the spring. Rostkowski sent Muszynski an email on information to look into getting wheel chair accessible picnic tables and the commission agreed that it was great idea. Projects for 2018– The approved budget was reviewed. Muszynski indicated the areas where she is working on *Baseball field reconstruction (tune-up fields) * Bids for replacing fencing on baseball fields at the North Diamond * Concrete stone area around the concession stands at Mitchell. 4) Picnic tables. We were uncertain where the $80,000 recreational walking trails is planned for. Muszynski will inquire and follow-up. **Note** The next day an email was sent indicating that these were set aside for walking trails connecting East Troy to Mukwonago. Adjourn – Motion by President Budzien to adjourn the meeting at 7:04 pm.
