A motion to approve August 13, 2018 meeting minutes by Trustee Alexander and
Second by Commissioner Van Buren. Motion carried.
Dog Park – The Key Club from the High School did a presentation regarding a
proposal of fund raising for a dog park next to the Village Hall. They inquired if the
property was still available for such a project. Jason Equitz will check into if this area
would need to be re-zoned. The committee is recommending that the next step would
be to take the presentation to the Village Board at an upcoming October Meeting.
The motion to approve by President Budzien and Second by Trustee Alexander. Motion
carried. The Key Club is organizing a community night on Wednesday, September 26
at Gus’s Drive-in to start fund raising.
Revenue/Expenditure Report – Nothing new to report at this time. Motion by
Trustee Alexander to approve and Second by Commissioner Van Buren. Motion
carried.
Director’s Report – Muszynski shared that the last Movie night at Booth Lake had
higher attendance than June and July. We will continue to pursue possible other
locations for next summer. The Doggie Dip at Book Lake went well with 10 dogs
attending.
Archery Range – The Grand Opening was a success. The parking lot paving should
be completed within the next 30 days. There was an area of the roof that could be
covered more; Equitz will check into this issue to see what can be done.
Park Signs – The replacement of the Park Signs will be starting with the following
being done this year: Playmore, Archery Range, Lynndale, Mill Pond, Pulliam Nature
Area, West Kettle Nature Area and Tom Rossmiller Sports Complex. The remainder
village parks will not be completed until next year.
Lake Bluff Walking Trails – A budget proposal of $5,000 is being recommended to
put in walking trails. If the budget is approved, the next step is to send out a letters
to residences close to the proposed trails to see if they have any concerns with this.
We would need to map out a plan of where the trails would be placed.
East Troy Dam – Commissioner Rostkowski inquired if decisions for the future plans
have been made after the removal of the East Troy Dam. Trustee Alexander indicated
that these decisions will be made by the Village Board at a later date.
