Village of East Troy Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes – December 10, 2018 Present: President Gary Budzien, Trustee John Alexander, Director Vickie Muszynski, Public Works Jason Equitz, Commissioners Steve Rostkowski, Jim Holm, Geri Mayotte, Annie Van Buren, Debbie Arendt Call to order – President Budzien called the meeting to order at 6:31 followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Approve Park & Recreation Commission minutes from September 10, 2018. A motion to approve September 10, 2018 meeting minutes by Trustee Alexander and Second by Rostkowski. Motion carried. Revenue/Expenditure Report – A $2,000 grant was received for archery equipment. The question came up which account did this go into; Muszynski will follow-up. Motion by Trustee Alexander to approve and Second by Commissioner Holm. Motion carried. Director’s Report – Muszynski shared that Winter/Spring Activity Guide is available on-line and was sent to the printers. Dog Park – An area to discuss further with the Key Club is regarding the fencing for the Dog Park. Jason Equitz will communicate with Tricia Harris (Advisor of Key Club) of his recommendations of what is an acceptable fence that will not need to be replaced in a few years. Equitz will report to the commission at a future meeting. Lake Bluff Walking Trails – One of the next steps is for the village to send out a letter by April to the residents close to the proposed trails to see if they have any concerns with this. We would need to map out a plan of where the trails would be placed. Annie Van Buren received a letter from Butch Rebay (resident of Lake Bluff) with some ideas for future expansion and phases to this area. Muzynski will email Butch Rebay as a follow-up to the letter received. Adjourn – Motion by President Budzien to adjourn the meeting at 7:12 pm. Second by Trustee Alexander. Motion carried.
