Village of East Troy Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes – November 11, 2019 Call Meeting to Order; Pledge of Allegiance President Gary Budzien called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Present: President Gary Budzien, Director Vickie Muszynski, Commissioners, Steve Rostkowski, Annie Van Buren, Geri Mayotte.Trustee Alexander, Excused: Jim Holm, Debbie Arendt, Public Works Jason Equitz Consent Agenda (One motion and second will approve all of the following items) 1. Approve Park & Recreation Commission minutes – October 14, 2019 2. Revenue/Expenditure Report – 10/31/2019 3. Director’s Report Motion by Commissioner Van Buren, to approve the minutes with a change to Miscellaneous Business-1. Motion by Commissioner Rostkowski to move this item until the November meeting since we have three members absent (not four). Second by Commissioner Rostkowski, to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried. Miscellaneous Business 1. Presentation from Nature’s Classroom, Montessori School – Haley Stenkovich & Keegan Kubingh presented a power point presentation to the commission. They are part of the Lego/Robotics team for the Montessori School. They presented an autistic friendly playground development with ideas of music & space, foam pits and obstacles that kids could bump into. They had a power point presentation and gave us background into their Lego club. Their goal was to share their solutions with the “real” world. 2. Parks and Recreation Meeting procedures –Attorney Gere offered a draft for Parks and Recreation Board Meeting Policies. The commission went through the draft and agreed to except the policies with one change to #4. Having it to read; In addition to items placed on the agenda by the Chairperson and by the Village Board, other items shall be placed on the agenda upon written request to the Director of Parks and Recreation from 1 or more Park and Recreation Board members. Motion by Trustee Alexander Second by Commissioner Van Buren Adjourn – Motion by President Budzien, second by Commissioner Mayotte, to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 pm. Motion carried.
