Village of East Troy Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes – June 8, 2020 Call Meeting to Order President Gary Budzien called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Pledge of Allegiance Present: President Gary Budzien, Director Vickie Muszynski, Trustee John Alexander, Commissioners, Jim Holm, Steve Rostkowski, Annie Van Buren, Geri Mayotte, Debbie Arendt Excused: Public Works Jason Equitz Consent Agenda (One motion and second will approve all of the following items) 1. Approve Park & Recreation Commission minutes – 2/10/2020 2. Revenue/Expenditure Report – 5/30/2020 3. Director’s Report Motion by Trustee Alexander, second by Commissioner Holm, to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried. Miscellaneous Business 1. Summer Programs – The summer program guide was not mailed this year, however, was put on-line after some amendments. Muszynski asked if anyone had input if we should to promote our classes this summer. The committee felt like the outside classes would be a possibility if they started in July. If we would have ample participants signing up and staff available to teach; classes could move forward. 2. Future Agenda Items – A) Budget -we should start to talk about the 2021 budget for next year. One priority will be the pier at Mill Pond needs to be replaced. B) Walking Path - we may want to consider expanding the walking path in the Lake Bluff subdivision. 3. Archery Range Shed – Eagle Scout, Mason Widener did a presentation of doing a Scout Project of building a shed at the Archery Range. Muszynski spoke of the need and benefits of having a place to store archery equipment as a need that would be convenient for Archery classes. Widener has talked with Jason Equitz and would like to start fundraising for this project. The committee suggested contacting Benchmark Landscape for some ideas and assistance. Motion by Commissioner Holm, second by Commissioner Rostkowski to move forward with working on a preliminary plan. Motion carried. Adjourn – Motion by President Budzien, second by Trustee Alexander, to adjourn the meeting at 7:05 pm. Motion carried.
