Village of East Troy Parks and Recreation Board Meeting Minutes – May 10, 2021 Call Meeting to Order - Chairperson Gary Budzien called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm. Pledge of Allegiance Present - Chairperson Gary Buzien, Director Vickie Muszynski, Board Members: Debbie Arendt, Andrea Belka Van Buren, Jim Holm, Steve Rostkowski, and Andy Siden Excused - Trustee John Alexander, Public Works Director Jason Equitz, and Board Member Jason Smalley Consent Agenda (One motion and second will approve all of the following items) 1. Approval of Minutes from April 12, 2021 Park and Recreation Meeting a. Notes: Amend minutes by changing “non-motorized” to “motorized” 2. Approval of Revenue/Expenditure Report – April 30, 2021 3. Director’s Report Motion by Board Member Holm and seconded by Board Member Arendt to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried. Miscellaneous Business 1. Capital Improvement Budget a. Board prioritized capital improvement projects as follows: i. 2022 – Play surface at Mitchell Park, Updates to Playmore Park, and Bathrroms at Playmore Park ii. 2023 – Play structure at Mill Pond Park and Pavillion at Mill Pond Park iii. 2024 – Impoundment redevelopment and Pave Mill Pond Park parking area (investigate possible alternatives to impervious concrete or asphalt) iv. 2025 – Baseball Netting and Splash Pad 2. Mill Pond Park – Director Muszynski presented two options for play structures at Mill Pond Park designed by Lee Recreation. 3. Flag football was discussed. 4. Recommendation(s) for future agenda items a. Pickleball is increasing in popularity and there may be an interest by community members for a designated pickleball courts.
