Village of East Troy Parks and Recreation Board Meeting Minutes Monday June 13, 2022 Call meeting to Order - Chairperson Gary Budzien called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Pledge of Allegiance Present - Chairperson Gary Budzien, Director Vickie Muszynski, Trustee John Alexander, and Board Members Debbie Arendt, Andrea Belka Van Buren, Steve Rostkowski, and Andy Seiden Excused - Public Works Director Jason Equitz and Board Member Jim Holm Citizen Participation - Jan Rostkowski of 2959 N. Shore Drive East Troy, WI 53120 expressed concern regarding the amount of garbage and trash in the garbage cans and the surrounding area at the Playmore Park pavilion. Consent Agenda (One motion and second will approve all of the following items) 1. Approval of Minutes from April 11, 2022 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting 2. Approval of Revenue/Expenditure Report May 31, 2022 3. Director’s Report Motion by Board Member Steve Rostkowski, seconded by Board Member Debbie Arendt, to approve the consent agenda. Motion carried. Miscellaneous Business 1. Comprehensive Plan a. Director Vickie Muszynski shared that the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan will be finalized and sent by Strand Associates to the WI DNR for approval. 2. Committee Reappointments a. Director Vickie Muszynski thanked Board Members Andrea Belka Van Buren, Steve Rostkowski, and Andy Seiden for their continued service as Parks and Recreation Board Members. 3. Memorials for Parks a. Specific bench, bike rack, and planter designs/models, along with pricing, have been approved as memorial options. b. Discussed offering memorial paving bricks for veterans on the Square. A dedication ceremony can be held once per year to honor those individuals who were added. 4. Pier a. Replacing the pier will cost more than initially budgeted. It was suggested to reallocate the $25,000 that was budgeted for restrooms at Playmore Park to cover the additional cost of the replacement fishing pier at Mill Pond Park. Motion for approval made by Board Member Steve Rostkowski, seconded by Trustee John Alexander. Motion carried. Agenda Items to Discuss at Next Meeting 1. As a result of an increase in graffiti in the Playmore Park/Grand Stand/Skate Park area, it was suggested that we explore the option of creating a designated graffiti wall.
