Village of East Troy Parks and Recreation Board Meeting Minutes Sept 11, 2023 Call meeting to Order – Chairperson Belka-Van Buren called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Pledge of Allegiance Present – Chairperson Andrea Belka Van Buren, Director Vickie Muszynski, Board Members Debbie Arendt, Steve Rostkowski, Gary Budzien, and Andy Seiden, Trustee John Alexander. Excused - Public Works Director Jason Equitz Consent Agenda (One motion and second will approve all the following items) 1. Approval of minutes from July 10, 2023, Parks and Recreation Commission meeting 2. Approval of Revenue/Expenditure Report from Aug 31, 2023 3. Approval of Directors Report Motion by Board Member Arendt, seconded by Board Member Budzien to approve consent agenda. Motion carried. Miscellaneous Business 1. Update on Eagle Scout Project/Dog Park Agility a. Vickie gave an update on the project, commending Eagle Scout Bischell on a job well done. She mentioned there were a few things that need some fine tuning, and he came and did that as well. The surface needed to be textured and the A-Frame needed to have less of a pitch. Boden fixed these items right away. 2. Update on Projects: a. Vickie updated the board on the projects taking place. The poured in place surfaces at Mitchell Park & Playmore Park along with the swing set have been approved and ordered. The project should be finished mid-October. b. The canopy/nets at Mitchell Park will be ordered. We are only doing the canopy’s this time as the ones that are in place are torn and frayed. c. The bleachers for Mitchell Park were ordered and have come in. The aluminum 5-row bleachers will replace the existing wooden bleachers. The new bleachers have a back and a railing making them ADA compliant.
