Village of East Troy Parks and Recreation Board Meeting Minutes February 12, 2024 Call meeting to Order – Annie called the meeting to order at 6:33 pm. Pledge of Allegiance Present – Director Vickie Muszynski, Board Members, Annie Belka Van Buren, Steve Rostkowski, Gary Budzien, and Andy Seiden. Excused - Public Works Director Jason Equitz, Debbie Arendt, Nick Cieslik, and Trustee John Alexander Consent Agenda (One motion and second will approve all the following items) 1. Approval of minutes from Oct. 9, 2023, Parks and Recreation Commission meeting 2. Approval of Revenue/Expenditure Report from Oct 31, 2023 3. Approval of Directors Report Motion by Gary Budzien, seconded by Andy Seiden to approve consent agenda. Motion carried. Miscellaneous Business 1. Girl Scout Donation for a bike rack a. Troop 11120 presented the board with a check in the amount of $1,020 for the purchase of a bike rack. The Troop did various fund raisers to raise funds. The Troop chose the Bike Rack at Playmore Park because when they go to Playmore Park there is no place to put their bikes. They decided to pick this project because it would benefit anyone that brought a bike to the park and it was a sustainable project for their Silver Badge. They sold brats at the brat hut at the grocery store, a bake sale, and solicited donations for their project. 2. Ben & Bennette Keating, a. They will be presenting ideas at the March 11th Meeting. 3. Vickie updated the board on the progress of the construction in the Rec Area and the Village Offices. Construction is projected to be finished in April. Agenda Items to Discuss at Next Meeting a. Naming of the impoundment area Adjourn – Motion by Annie Belka-VanBuren, seconded by Gary Budzien to adjourn the meeting at 7:13pm. Motion carried.
