EAST TROY VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING Page 1 of 2 Call Meeting to Order; Pledge of Allegiance Administrator Suhm verified the meeting was posted according to law. Roll Call: President Timms called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: President Timms, Trustees, Matt Johnson, Forty Renucci, Scott Seager and Dusty Stanford Excused: Trustee Fred Douglass and Ann Zess Others: DPW Miller, Administrator Suhm, Attorney Gray Closed session Adjourn to closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85 (1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. (Resignation of Director of Public Works and Utilities) Motion by President Timms, second by Trustee Stanford to adjourn to closed session. Motion carried on a roll call vote. President Y Timms Trustee Y Johnson Trustee Y Renucci Trustee Seager Y Trustee Y Stanford Motion by Trustee Stanford, second by Trustee Renucci to reconvene in open session. Motion carried. Reconvene in Open Session Possible action on closed session matters Motion by Trustee Stanford to appoint Jason Equitz as the interim DPW Director until the last day of December, during that time his obligation will be to complete projects at hand and meet certain management by objectives, he will be placed at step one on the salary schedule for Director of Public Works. Motion carried. EAST TROY VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING Page 2 of 2 Motion by President Timms, second by Trustee Stanford that within the first 30 days the Village Board will assist Jason with creating the management by objectives goals that he will be accountable for. Motion by Trustee Johnson, second by Trustee Stanford to amend to amend the original motion that Jason’s plan and goals will be developed with the assistance of the Board and formally approved by the Board within the next 30 days. Vote on the amendment carried. Vote on the original motion carried. Motion by President Timms, second by Trustee Stanford to regretfully accept Mike Miller’s letter of resignation. Motion carried. Motion by President Timms, second by Trustee Stanford to retain Mike Miller on a consulting basis until further notice at the rate of $500 per month. Motion carried. Administrator Suhm asked for clarification on when the $500 per month began and what period it was paying for. President Timms clarified it would begin July 1 and be paying for the month of July and so on. He also clarified Administrator Suhm will determine if he is to be paid as a contracted service or employee. Adjourn Motion by Trustee Stanford, second by President Timms to adjourn. Motion carried.
