Members present: Janna Tetreault, Brad Riley, Shira Simon, Kate Shapiro, Jackie Brousseau-Pereira
Members absent:
Guests: Assistant Planner Jamie Webb, Donna Cabana (Valley CDC), Alexis Breiteneichner (Valley CDC),
Zac Banas, Nicole Murphy, Jessica Allen
Meeting called to order by chair at 6:06 pm
1. Approval of the meeting notes:
Brad made a motion to approve. Shira seconded. The motion was approved unanimously.
2. Valley CDC Presentation:
Donna Cabana and Alexis Breiteneichner gave a final update on financial literacy programming
based on partnership feedback in October. They fielded questions from the partnership in
preparation for a presentation to the Community Preservation Act Committee.
Jackie made a motion to write a letter of support for, Kate seconded. The motion was approved
unanimously.
3. MEI Stakeholder List Review:
Janna gave an overview w/ member of the public about the intention of the Municipal
Engagement Initiative through CHAPA. Members of the partnership and public brainstormed
about individuals we would like to invite to participate or advocate on our behalf.
4. Advocacy/Other Updates:
Brad gave an update on the legislative process of the Real Estate Transfer Tax legislation on
Beacon Hill. Janna gave an update on the rent relief program at Community Action Pioneer
Valley which is set to expire in April.
5. Next Meeting: February 24, 2022
Jackie made a motion to adjourn, Brad seconded.
