Easthampton Board of Health Meeting Minutes August 19, 2020 50 Payson Ave., Easthampton, MA 01027 PRESENT: Maggie Hebert (MH); Jennifer Lesperance (JL); Aimee Petrosky (AP); Bri Eichstaedt (BE), Health Agent, Alex White (AW); Jackie Sienkiewicz (JS), Recorder. Meeting held on Zoom and recorded. Motion to open A motion to open the meeting at 5:15 PM. was made by AP and seconded by MH. All in favor – 3, Opposed – 0. Public Speak Time: None • Meet new Health Inspector, Alex White: BE introduced Alex White as the new Health Inspector. AW gave the BOH a brief history of his training and work experience. • Vote Alex White in as Agent of the Board of Health: BE asked the BOH to vote AW as an Agent of the Board of Health. A motion was made by AP and seconded by MH to vote in AW as an Agent of the Board of Health. All in favor: 3, opposed: 0. ● Discuss and vote on BOH Order Titled: “Mandatory Wearing of Masks/Face Coverings in Designated Areas of Easthampton: BE started by reading to the BOH emails (attached), received in the office via email to the BOH. The BOH discussed the BOH Order. BE explained the plans to put up signs in the designated areas to inform the public. The order would require masks to be worn at all times in the areas designated in the order, specifically the bike path, the downtown area, and city-owned parks and property. A motion was made by AP and seconded by JL to a approve the BOH Order Titled: “Mandatory Wearing of Masks/Face Coverings in Designated Areas of Easthampton.” All in favor: 3, opposed: 0. A motion was made by AP to adjourn the meeting; seconded by MH. All in favor: 3, opposed: 0. Meeting adjourned at 5:40 PM.
