Easthampton Board of Health Meeting Minutes February 10, 2021 50 Payson Ave., Easthampton, MA 01027 PRESENT: Maggie Hebert (MH); Jennifer Lesperance (JL): Aimee Petrosky (AP); Bri Eichstaedt (BE), Health Agent, Jackie Sienkiewicz, recording. Also present Rebecca Edwards (RE), Amy Hardt (AH), Michael Lavalle and Ann Talley. Meeting held on Zoom. Motion to open A motion to open the meeting at 4:02 PM. was made by AP and seconded by MH. All in favor – 2, Opposed – 0. Public Speak Time: Michael Lavalle read a letter, (Attached), addressed to the BOH and BE about his inability to open his business, Brass Cat during certain times during the pandemic. He asked to be added to the next BOH’s agenda. The BOH agreed to add ML to the agenda for the next meeting. ● Introduction of new Healthy Youth Coalition Coordinator.: BE introduced Rebecca Edwards as the new coordinator of the Health Youth Coalition to the BOH. RE spoke to the Board about plans on updating the current website, the new parent/ youth outreach hire, and the Coalition’s action plan. ● Review Proposed FY22 Budget: BE reviewed the proposed FY22 budget with the BOH and found there to be no changes at this time. ● Health Director position update: BE informed the Board that the position of Health Director for the City of Easthampton had been posted and was not aware of any other applicants. ● COVID-19 Updates: BE discussed with the Board the upcoming vaccine forum that the Health Dept would be hosting on February 11, 2021 via Zoom. BE also spoke to the Board about the monthly dashboard graph that the Public Health nurse, Amy Hardt, was creating and working on releasing to the public. BE also said that Amy Hardt would be doing community outreach videos to help inform the public of various public health topics.
