Call to order NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Easthampton Board of Public Works shall hold a Public Hearing on the Establishments of new Water and Sewer Fees and Rates to cover a Department of Public Works FY21 Shortfall on Thursday, June 25th, 2020, at 6pm. Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, M.G.L. c. 30A, §18, and the Governor’s March 15, 2020 Order imposing strict limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place, this meeting of the Easthampton Board of Public Works (BPW) will be conducted via remote participation. Members of the BPW and members of the public may participate electronically, as described below. The BPW will be utilizing the video/audio conferencing platform ZOOM. Members of the BPW will be able to hear and speak to each other for the entire meeting. Members of the public will be able to hear and see members of the BPW during the entire meeting, but will only be permitted to speak during the Public Speak portions of the meeting and such comments will be limited to three minutes per person during each opportunity to speak. In order to connect to the meeting through ZOOM and a computer or smartphone, a member of the public may need to do one of the following: • Install Zoom App on mobile device or phone; • Download Zoom Client at https://zoom.us/download and install on a PC or Mac. When public comment is permitted, members of the public will be called one at a time, as would happen during an in-person meeting. The Board Chairman or his delegate will determine the order of public speakers. Participants may also choose to submit comments that can be read into the record.
