City of Easthampton Appointment committee Meeting Minutes May 20 ,2020. Zoom meeting Attending . Councilors: William Lynch , Homar Gomez, JP kwiecinski Public present Casey Douglass Meeting start at 5:00 pm zoom meeting 1. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. Feb 19th , March 4th and April 1st Motion by Councilor Kwiecinski second by councilor Gomez Vote 3-0 on favor 2. Public Speak Time. None 3. Re appointments none New appointments Jamie Paquette for Energy Advisory Committee exp term 12/31/2022 Councilor Gomez report that Jamie is a Easthampton resident since 2012 ,Jamie has being working for 18 years in various capacities for organizations dedicated to energy environment . Motion was made by councilor Kwiecinski second by Councilor Gomez Vote was 3-0 Brad Riley for Affordable & Fair Housing Partnership exp term 12/31/2020 Councilor Gomez report to the committee that Brad dedicate his life working with the public in a wide variety of experience both paid and volunteer. Brad have a B.A. in workplace diversity on inclusion from Umass . Brad is a Easthampton resident for 8 years. Motion was made by councilor Kwiecinski second by Councilor Gomez Tracey Eller for Easthampton city arts exp term 12/31/2021 Councilor Gomez report to the committee that Tracey is already serving on the public art committee, Tracey already went to a few of the ECA meetings and Tracey receive a grant from Massachusetts cultural council. Motion was made by councilor Kwiecinski second by Councilor Gomez Vote was 3-0 John Casey Douglas for ECA grants Committee exp term 4/30/2023 Casey was at the meeting and he explain to the committee why he wants a be part of the ECA grants committee, Casey already participated of the las 4 ECA Grants meetings and councilor Lynch talk about how much and good Casey is doing for our city participating on those committee meetings. Casey is a business owner in Easthampton and part of the EDIC for 3 years Motion was made by councilor Kwiecinski second by Councilor Gomez Vote was 3-0 Glenn Shalan for Easthampton city arts exp term 12/31/2020 Councilor Gomez report to the committee that Glenn is new in the city and become more involved with the local art community, Glenn attend to the last 2 meetings Glenn use to live in the Berkshire county for 19 year and during that time served on the local cultural council and in both Pittsfield and North Adam.
