Appointments Committee Meeting In-person meeting at 50 Payson Ave., 2nd floor Small Conference Room Meeting Minutes: September 28, 2023 Councilor Riley called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Members Present: Chair Councilor Riley, Councilor Gomez , Councilor Denham Also in Attendance: none Approval of Minutes: none Public Speak Time: No members of the public present to speak. New Business: ● Mayoral Appointment: Name Board/Committee Term Expiration Sean Collins Easthampton Cultural Council Oct. 4, 2026 Councilor Riley stated to the committee that he called the two appointees and councilor Riley let them know how the cultural council appointments works Councilor Riley Talked about the passion Collins has for art and he told the committee that Sean has experience on live stage production and that Sean is a Easthampton resident and that Sean grew up in Amherst and that Sean is the General manager of the Amherst cinema. Motion was made by councilor Denham and seconded by councilor Gomez , voted was 3-0 on favor of the appointment Jo Cater Easthampton Cultural Council Oct. 4, 2026 Councilor Riley stated that Jo Carter is a volunteer on 50 arrow gallery , that Jo Carter is new in our city and that have a good relationship with Pasqualina Azzarello and that Jo is focusing on writing and painting.
