Keith Cernak in California asked about legal posting of meetings. Planner Bagg explained the
legal framework for notifications for council committees versus planning board meetings
Cannabis in the highway business district

There were no public comments on this topic
The committee continued discussion of the proposed amendment for new buildings for cannabis
cultivation in the highway business district.
Notable points
• language to address specifically route 10 and now the district portion on East street.
• Colocation of retail
• Planning board input
• Residential setbacks and street setbacks
• Allowable maximum size for cultivation
Planner Bagg contributed ongoing information regarding the amendment to the committee and
public
A motion was made by councilor Peake and seconded to accept the amendments. Committee
voted 2-1 (Derby and Peake in favor, Zaret against) to recommend to the full council
Meeting was adjourned (3-0 motion Zaret, second Peake)
