Indigenous Peoples Day
Final language was reviewed for full council meeting with no objections
Cannabis delivery
Language was reviewed with no objections. Motion made by councilor Zaret and seconded by
Peake to send to planning board for joint public hearing. Passed 3-0
New business
Acessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)
The proposed language submitted by councilor Peake. The intention is to reduce barriers and
restrictions to constructing ADUs, and allow them by right. This was reviewed in depth with
discussion among the committee members as well as members of the public.
Issues discussed included
• How to handle existing units
• Allowable size of units
• Number of units allowed
• Parking
• Survey requirements
• Owner occupied vs non owner occupied
• Aquifer protection
Discussion was continued to the next meeting
Meeting was adjourned (motion Peake, second Zaret 3-0)

a. Allow multifamily dwellings with 15% affordable units by Plan Approval in
certain zoning districts.
b. Remove existing Sec. 8.5 (Accessory Apartments) and replace with a new section
allowing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADA) with either a building permit or Special
Permit based on design requirements.
