City Council Ordinance Meeting Meeting Minutes: May 9, 2022 Online via Zoom Councilor Derby called the meeting to order at 6:03pm. Ordinance Committee Members Present Councilor Salem Derby (Chair), Councilor Tom Peake, Councilor Lindsey Rothschild Also in Attendance Councilor Owen Zaret Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Councilor Peake and seconded by Councilor Rothschild; it was unanimously voted (3-0) to approve the minutes of 3/22/22 and 3/29/22. Public Speak Time: New Business: City Ordinance Amendment: Amend Chapter 6 by adding a new Sec. 6-23: “Deceptive Advertising Practices of Limited Pregnancy Centers” Old/Continuing Business: a) Vacant Storefront Ordinance - Reviewed ordinance comparison of other towns’ ordinances b) Ordinance Review Committee’s final report -Reviewed prior recommended revisions -Went through report, searched for gendered language, noted down and recomended change to gender neutral language Next meetings: A motion was made by Councilor Peake and seconded by Councilor Rothschild; it was unanimously voted that this meeting adjourn.
