Councilor Zaret called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm
Members Present:
Councilors: Owen Zaret and Erica Flood

Approval of Minutes:
May 3, 2021. Motion (Flood ) Second (Zaret ). Voted 2-0, minutes accepted.
Public Speak Time: No comments from the public.
New Business:
1. Utility Pole Locations:
Request from Eversource Energy & Verizon New England to install three jointly owned midspan utility poles
and relocate four existing joint poles along Torrey Street to reduce excessively long wire spans which will
improve system reliability. (Public Hearing on Aug. 4, 2021 at City Council Remote Meeting)
Discussion of each proposed pole location
Motion to Recommend approval of request from Eversource Energy & Verizon New England to install three
jointly owned midspan utility poles and relocate four existing joint poles along Torrey Street to reduce
excessively long wire spans which will improve system reliability. (To be discussed at Public Hearing on Aug.
4, 2021 at City Council Remote Meeting) (Flood) Seconded (Zaret) with discussion regarding the necessity of
representatives to be present at 8/4 public hearing to answer questions. 2-0 Vote.
Motion to Adjourn (Flood) Second (Zaret )2-0 Vote.
