Public Speak Time: No public present. New Business: Continuing Business: ● Williston Ave. Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvements & Temporary On-Street Parking Ban Planner Bagg: The plan is to put Williston Ave on the list of prohibited parking on both sides at all times until December 2021. A bike lane will be setup using - paint and enhanced pylons (delineators). The delineators will be removed in the late fall when snow plowing starts. Then, they will be put back next spring, through the following summer and fall. (That’s why 12/2021 was decided.) Councilor Derby: Could this be a permanent bike lane at some point? Planner Bagg: Yes. It is possible to be permanent in the future. It would serve multiple groups - back to school crowd, people going to Nonotuck, and Valley bikes. There is funding to repaint the lines to put back to normal in December 2021 if necessary. Planner Bagg stated that no letters from neighbors were received by him or Councilor Gomez. If people want to speak on this issue, they still have the opportunity at the City Council Meeting on 8/19. A motion was made by Councilor Derby and seconded by Councilor Rothschild; it was unanimously voted to move Temporary On-Street Parking Ban to City Council for a vote. ● Request to review on-street parking in the Traffic Rules & Orders Councilor Gomez is working on reaching out to Cottage and Main Street business owners to get their input.
