Public Safety Meeting Minutes 10/11/2022 18:00 Members present: Owen Zaret, chair; Salem Derby Meeting was in person. Conference room #1 Meeting was recorded Minutes from 9/6 approved 2-0 (motion Derby second Zaret) There was no public speak The police department had no report Jaimie Webb from the planning department presented the New City Quick Action items Reviewed non function street lights. Most were on Maine avenue. Have likely been replaced but will confirm with DPW New stop signs at Emerald Place & Dartmouth St and Emerald Place & Lincoln Street were discussed. Brief discussion held regarding yield versus stop signs. Consensus around stop signs Striping vs no parking was discussed at Federal and Parsons intersection. Consensus was for striping Speed signs and speed abatement were reviewd for Parsons and Lincoln. Will review with Police Department and DPW regarding which streets need signs and temporary versus permanent Repaint crosswalk at emerald place and ferry pedestrian crossing, with acknowledgement of improvements coming to that area as well Meeting was adjourned at 18:39 2-0 (Motion Derby, Second Zaret) 18:39
