Cultural District meeting June 15, 2022
Roll call- Pasqualina, Pat, Lennie, Beth, Carol, Juliette
Chaos wrap up meeting.
Best turn out easily 12-15,000 people.
Wake the Dead Donuts sold over one thousand donuts! Jim’s well over 1,000 cones. Julie at
Crooked Stick Pops sold 1,100 Ice pops! Union St Bistro had to leave and make more food!
Jonny at Nini’s was super busy. Casey had a great day.
The main stage was placed perfectly. Maybe program the main stage with more dance bands.
Carol rocked it! Thank you!
One email to the Mayor office about lack of handicap parking.
Notes for next year.
We may want to designate half of Pason parking lot as handicaped.
For load in period, maybe a blinking light or two people, perhaps an officer,
one dealing with local traffic, and one dealing with vendors.
Bright orange paper was helpful so volunteers can see it’s a vendor.
Empty trash cans when they are half full so it's not too heavy. Have dedicated volunteers on
trash duty for the day.
The main stage trash can was so full, Pat “hid” it with our big trash cans so people could use our
big ones instead of the one that’s fixed in place. Some vendors brought their own trash cans.
Maybe they can bag up their trash and leave at their site when leaving and we can grab them
down the street at clean up.
Trash cans need to be taped and make sure you have enough to begin with. A push broom is
needed as well.
Careful about which vendors are placed by the fencing shop. It is super narrow there.
Porta potties need to be spread out throughout the street and maybe have more than four.
Pats list.
Follow up email for a thank you to vendors and volunteers.
We need to fix the sign up sheet for volunteers etc. Streamline or recreate for volunteers needs
to get revamped.
We need a Volunteer coordinator. It would be wonderful to have a few volunteers to commit to
the day. T-shirts and lanyards would be good to have.
The 10:30am closing of the street worked well.
Only assign spots to the lower end and NOT to the top. First come, first served worked best.
The colored paper helped with load out.
Move the Prindle stage back to the other side. B/c someone fell and b/c power cables across
the street.
Need to check the power at 8am!
Website for QR codes and flyers. Signage at stages. Have a map or something.
At the end of day we need 5 or 6 people to help vendors get out. Starting at 4pm, Pat told
people they have one more hour then they need to break down at 5pm sharp. We need 4 or 5
people picking up tents, signage at close of day.
We need more media and press releases etc.
One person mentioned we needed more food options.
Vests and T-shirts are needed especially for the in and out.
First Chaos was 2014, 2023 will be the 10yr anniversary!
Pat is resigning as committee chair. He will be around to help next year. Thank you Pat!
We need to reintegrate new members.
