ECA - Public Art Subcommittee Tuesday April 20, 2022, 5:00 Meeting Minutes Public Speak – Marcia mentioned her enjoyment for Art Walk’s reemergence after a two-year hiatus. A new meeting time for this subcommittee was discussed. Pasqualina will ask Barbara about two options: 5:15 at City Hall either the 2nd or 4th Monday of each month. She will let subcommittee know which time and meeting room works best. Approval of March 29th meeting minutes - Tracey motioned for approval, Marcia seconded, and all agreed. Ferry Street Gateway to the Mills Celebration –May 27th@ 5:00. Pasqualina reported that Brendan Bailey from the National Realtors Association, the Mayor, and Peter O’Zerian have confirmed their attendance. Marcia mentioned that there are other events happening the same night, but the group thought the timing would not cause conflicts. Pasqualina will confirm music and PA system. These are the items needed at event - seltzer and cookies, trash receptacle, table, napkins and cups. The sculpture has not been fabricated as of this meeting date, there was a misunderstanding with the digital file type that was submitted. A new completion time frame is estimated for the first week in May. Cottage Street Volunteer sculpture RFP – the cement pad needed at the sculpture site will be poured by the City and its cost will be built into ECA’s fiscal year budget. Pasqualina will get the measurements and inform DPW so they can incorporate the pad into their other projects. She will make sure they know the new pad needs to match the existing pad, (poured flush with the granite curb) on the boardwalk under Brenden Stecchini’s sculpture. The working title for the RFP is Celebrating Service: Honoring Our Volunteers The dedication plaque for Matt Johnson’s sculpture, Fender Bender, in Mill Side Park, will be installed this spring when weather allows.
